Weddings at the Ford-MacNichol Home

The Ford-MacNichol Home was built in 1896 and is a true Victorian Gem. Restored authentically to the period, the house relives its past by again having parlor ceremonies, typical of the Victorian era.

The Wyandotte Museum provides an alternative site for small weddings and is very flexible to meet your needs. We provide the house and staffing. We can also provide decorations and music (sound system) at no additional cost. Minister or Judge, flowers, music, decorations, photographer, and other items will be arranged by you - giving you the chance to cater your wedding to your own special needs.

Ceremonies can take place in the parlor, foyer, or the porch, depending on the size of your party.   We also offer a dressing room for the bride and her party in our second floor Master Bedroom.

Due to special events scheduled at the museum for the Halloween and Christmas Holiday seasons, the museum is not available for wedding rentals from mid-September through mid-January.  The museum is available for photo sessions year-round, however, and the special holiday decorations provide an even more unique backdrop for your photos.  We advise you to visit the museum prior to booking, so staff can discuss and show you how the building is decorated during that time.

Staff will be on hand during your wedding day to help you with any needs you may have.

Thank you for your interest in the Wyandotte Museum as your wedding site!
